Shortly before Christmas the fine people of GYRUS contacted Sarah Griffith, Director of Outreach at Bartlett United Methodist Church to inquire about making a donation to the Angel Food Ministry Program which is administered in Bartlett by Bartlett United Methodist Church. BUMC is also the distribution location for food that is purchased from this program.

GYRUS wanted to provide a gift that would benefit the citizens of Bartlett who are in need of food. Sarah advised GYRUS she had a plan that would involve the Bartlett Family Assistance Commission which provides assistance every month to families facing all types of crises.

GYRUS liked the idea and Teresa Gupton, Director of Human Resources and Damon Tate, Human Resources Coordinator presented a check to Sarah Griffith and Ted Rasbach from the Bartlett Family Assistance Commission in the amount of $3,500 to be used to provide food to families by utilizing the Angel Food Ministry Program.
